Message: Apple Joice - a long Summer draught

if Apple really wanted the tech they would just buy us for a $1 a share right now and be done with it.  These are the questions I cant answer in your scenario.  What are your thoughts on this.

One question that comes to my mind is: how are the patents really "owned"? they are all (even the recently applied-for ones) coming out assigned to Geoff Taylor and UCONN. Is it possible that the patent disposition would also keep a potential acquirer at bay? We saw how Dr. Taylor reacted to the question about eventually being part of Intel... Maybe these assignations (leaving out the name of POET) are another way of keeping this tech under the radar long enough for it to be unassailably developed?

Not only that, but if Apple were able to acquire POET, what would they do with all the verticals that they have no interest in? the technology is much bigger than they can make use of. It would be like peeling a banana, taking a nibble from the tip, and throwing the rest away. And, even though it has been discussed before, for Apple to be the sole owner of the next processing paradigm is not only dangerous to consumers, it's dangerous to Apple. Despite POETs small market cap, there would certainly be anti-trust concerns and those concerns should be known to the right people even at this point in time.
