My supposition was two things: It is not necessarily a good thing to be involved with Apple as per how they have treated other companies and that even an offer that might get accepted might well be far below what Poet might be worth a few years from now. I doubt that either of those are particularly controversial statements.

Not controversial, but debatable, I think: GTAT had all its eggs in the Apple basket, and POET probably couldn't make that mistake even if it wanted to. It offers too much to too many companies that compete with each other, and to too many business segments that do not. Merely from that standpoint, I think POET cannot be a victim of Apple's whim.

POET's IP in Apple's hands would mean that Apple will take over basically EVERYTHING.
