Message: The angst.

It's been a very trying few months...and it started with the October fiasco.  There are times when I read this forum and wonder whether we are all just drinking each other's Kool Aid to ease the anxiety of staring some irrecoverable losses in the face. Losses that could ruin some of us.  There have been comments already to that effect.

The reason I stay (beyond simply accepting losses) is:

1) The change in direction over news & information flow. The lack of it at a time when shareholders are screaming for it is actually encouraging to me. It's an under promise over deliver strategy that is long overdue. It doesn't mean everything is rosy...but we're not getting fluffed up for the sake of pennies.  That to me, like many other penny stocks in past, is a huge red flag, like making hard promises on deadlines. There's a longer term feel to this.

2) The job postings/hires

The company is staring at a financial cliff at the end of their burn rate. If they wanted immediate cash, surely they could peddle off some IP, a patent, a product. They simply must be confident in attracting dough if they are seeking highly specialized people and asking some to move across the world. I don't know too many people who would leave a sure thing for a short term unstable posting. This is also why I wonder if deals are already in place.

3) The focus to data centre components.

Data storage is like the new oil. Everybody needs it. We're addicted to it, and can no longer function without it. Our group identified this need almost 2 years ago now. everytime I read about tech the issue of storage seems to come up to the point where venture capitalists are out drumming up money for data centres the way the used to do for oil.

4) There is an actual physical product. I've been invested for 6 years exactly. (Think of what the market has done in that time).  But for the first time with POET, there is (at least one) actual tangible product that has been run through a fab process.
