Without knowing ANYTHING about this Apple initiative, my concern with delays has always been the opportunity for competitor's to catch up.

I think it's well known that APPL is a bully company. 100-0 deals, the poaching of people from partners...I could understand why POET wants to go it alone rather than give everything away to a mega cap.
