Would you prefer the term "optimization failed"?  The fact is they have been able to show optimization improvement from last year, with all three AOC components integrated in a mass production process.  Before they couldn't get the VCSEL optimized into the epitaxial layer at all.

I'm as much a skeptic as you with this company, but this presentation is solid.  Most importantly the epitaxial bottlnecks have been removed as the reference to 2017 optimization is highly encouraging.
