This Novemeber article from newelectronics about Global Foundries and Aquantia teaming up to try and extend the life of copper interconnects in the large data centre. This all to due to continued high cost (relatively) of deploying optical tranceivers. Perhaps some competition here, but perhaps not. Pity all of their hard work could go for naught if we get that AOC perfected and deployed!
