I think they gave them 5 years so it wouldn't create a massive overhang in a short period, in the case the share price does shoot up quickly. And the only way the price goes up is if they start pulling in significant revenue (thus negating the need for quick warrant cash), or they finally announce a prototype AOC or a Poet detector product.
