LOL Cheepie- It s certainly the time for a horrible trick or treat!
I do not have sufficient experience to understand how trading patterns affect businesses apart from being quite sure that riding the waves is a way to make money or improve your position but one that is frought with the danger of being on the wrong side of a wave when a key announcement is made. Timing is everthing in investment, but without the proper tools and knowledge my policy is patience and long term growth but good luck to all who do this what I see as legitimate trading.
However, has anyone thought like me about why, even when PTK makes some tremendous annoucement with the detector being a case in point, the SP does not respond. The biggest run ups have occurred on sentiment that a big announcement will be made at a planned event that we imagined would be the big reveal. I think these ebbs and flows are principally caused by Retail investors. Institutional investors make their money in different ways such as we have just witnessed.
I am not in favour of class actions but I think we should make the point to management that their actions have favoured one class of investors, the institions, at the expense of another class, the retailers. Their duty is to treat us all similarly and clearly they have not. The question is how do they propose to mitigate that unfair balance? All solutions such as rights issues, just dilute the pool but could restore the sense that we have been unfrairly treated.
Thoughts?
Perhaps the only restorative is to make sure this company is a massive success and soon!!!
