Why, I must ask, could "2017" not mean January?

Your statement "NRE has been pushed back by "up to" 6 months from May/June 2017 to just 2017, so it simply wont arrive in time"..... is pure speculation which you have zero to back it up with.

You don't know when ANY of this is going to happen, no more than any of us.
