With all due respect Orangecat you are wrong and your conception of in house development skewed. The prototypes will be available as stated Q4 16. That’s what full integration means. .What I am asking readers is to be realistic about how long it takes customers from first awareness of POET's radical technology, which I believe will be dated in Q4 16, to actual implementation in house. Q1 2018 is not unreasonable in my experience of large scale IT projects within UK MoD.
The process begins with potential customers evaluation of the opportunity offerd by POET AOC. Time will be needed to undertake a detailed appreciation of the factors involved leading to an outline plan and costings for ago no go decision. A broad perspective of the different factors will then be considered in order to effect any technological change involved. Customers will have to plan a staged approach for the integration involving feasibility studies and scoping studies. A decision to proceed would involve significant project planning and possibly the reallocation or hiring of resources to undertake the change. The process wil be designed not to affect current processing. This is a time absorbing complex task that has to be carefully considered. Therefore for me given that a prototype is available on 23rd Dec 16 lets say is not unreasonable to suggest that a task of such complexity will take a year launch by say 2 Jan 18. This is the reality of customer implementation to my mind and SV is simply being realistic when changes are likely to affect PTI revenue streams. i.e. DenseLight products first then POET. All canny management and predictions to my mind - so lets get real.
What we see today in the presentation is a wise, sensible policy within a realistic time frame, from which all those who chose to remain invested will benefit once predicted revenues materialise. Markets analysts will react to sensible and realistic predictions of revenue flow. What we see today is a steady prediction of build up of revenue through 2017 acceleration in 2018 as customers order implement.
