Orange Cat: POET claims 6 w per copper link. Levinton ( a manufacturer) specs 2-3 w per copper link.

No, Levinton claims 2 – 3 W (with a capital W) per port, not per link. A link has two ports, one on each end, which evaluates to 4 – 6 W. This is quite in line with POET's claims.
