MOCVD Epitaxial Engineer
Overview:
II-VI EpiWorks is seeking an MOCVD Epitaxial Engineer to support its 24×7 semiconductor manufacturing operations. This position supports the MOCVD growth processes and equipment within the company’s ISO 9001:2008 Quality system. This position requires support of operations in off hours and weekends. Flexibility of work schedule will be required in order to sustain 24×7 manufacturing.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work with Operations and Quality groups to enable high volume wafer delivery
- Sustain qualified epitaxial processes in a 24×7 manufacturing environment.
- Calibration and setup of growth processes on MOCVD tools
- Monitoring and support of production campaigns
- Yield Monitoring and reactor utilization tracking
- Operations support
- Logistics support
- Provide technical support and team member training as needed.
- Work with MOCVD Process Engineers to support reactor qualifications and new process development.
- Provide engineering analysis of MOCVD growth processes and production workflow to:
- Improve cycle time and throughput
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks.
- Improve Quality
- Reduce costs and waste
- Improve operator efficiency
Requirements Include:
- B.S or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Material Sciences, or similar field
- Solid State Device Physics background in RF and Optoelectronic devices
- 3+ years’ experience in a 24×7 production environment preferred
- Experience under ISO 9001 Quality Management System
- Experience with SPC, Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing
- Experience with statistical software packages
- Proficient with MS Office Software
- Knowledge of SQL preferred
- Excellent communication skills
