Overview:

II-VI EpiWorks is seeking an MOCVD Epitaxial Engineer to support its 24×7 semiconductor manufacturing operations. This position supports the MOCVD growth processes and equipment within the company’s ISO 9001:2008 Quality system. This position requires support of operations in off hours and weekends. Flexibility of work schedule will be required in order to sustain 24×7 manufacturing.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work with Operations and Quality groups to enable high volume wafer delivery
• Sustain qualified epitaxial processes in a 24×7 manufacturing environment.
• Calibration and setup of growth processes on MOCVD tools
• Monitoring and support of production campaigns
• Yield Monitoring and reactor utilization tracking
• Operations support
• Logistics support
• Provide technical support and team member training as needed.
• Work with MOCVD Process Engineers to support reactor qualifications and new process development.
• Provide engineering analysis of MOCVD growth processes and production workflow to:
• Improve cycle time and throughput
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Improve Quality
• Reduce costs and waste
• Improve operator efficiency

Requirements Include:

• B.S or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Material Sciences, or similar field
• Solid State Device Physics background in RF and Optoelectronic devices
• 3+ years’ experience in a 24×7 production environment preferred
• Experience under ISO 9001 Quality Management System
• Experience with SPC, Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing
• Experience with statistical software packages
• Proficient with MS Office Software
• Knowledge of SQL preferred
• Excellent communication skills
