POET may be a common link, but that doesn't necessarily mean it is a common cause for any expansions. Those companies are expanding their capacities anyway, because there's a global demand for optical communication and other photonic stuff – with or without POET.

POET, however, will quite likely take a nice piece of that cake once they have products in the market, and the bigger the cake the better.
