Well, pecosmud, the POET technology could be applied almost everywhere semiconductors come into play. And since with NFC mobile devices are involved, saving power is an issue, and POET could help with that, I'd say there could be some synergism.

On the other hand NFC has nothing to do with integrated photonics, so there's no immediate relationship to POET's core business. Might be an NRE candidate, but would require a customer who got attentive of POET, is willing to bet a product on it, and to shell out the larger NRE Suresh is aiming for. Overall, nothing I'd expect on short or medium term.
