Not only the window of opportunity is closing, the window of computing is closing, too, the Semiconductor Industry Association says:

"By 2040, computers will need more electricity than the world can generate"

What we need is twofold:

  • New power-saving technologies. Any suggestions ? :-D
  • New nuclear. Nuclear power is the only clean power technologie that can scale up fast enough (or at all) to serve the world's fast-growing energy needs, which is not only needed for computing.
