Of course you know that many (most) funds cannot invest in stock, either on the venture exchange or below $3, so it's not surprising that IBK is the only investor currently. Furthermore, you're totally discounting the fact that POET now has revenue, has money coming in from the exercise of options, and yes, the NRE carrot is dangling somewhere close by.
Once POET puts these 3 companies together things should get clearer as to the burn rate, but I doubt it will be too much of an issue. They said nothing about a dilution so to assume one is coming is your dot, and that is all.
No one said this would be easy, and with POET that is especially true, but they are on plan and I suspect, with everything we know, that the plans are bigger than we suspect.
As for rose coloured glasses, I guess some are more comfortable with the known facts than others, and have more time to invest....but I would be the first one heading for the door if they say, or it appears their plan is falling apart.
