This is interesting.

I don't know much about the IEEE, or the role it plays in this industry. It sounds like the UN of computing. But are recommendations and adoptions of new technology even close to binding amongst free enterprise companies like POET?

Do we know if there's POET representation at the meeting in Belgium? You could also look at these types of entities as gateways to CONSORTIUMS!
