Yes, absolutely! According to https://hbr.org/2016/04/how-companies-use-strategically-timed-announcements-to-confuse-the-market – thanks, Fairchij, for the link! – acquirers' share prices drop by 1.4 % on average after announcing an acquisition. So, yes, we are an exception to the rule.
