Is an NRE still on the table for the VCSEL?

Correct me if i am wrong (i know you will, Lol) but it is my understanding that the NRE discussions were based on the assumption that PTK would need help from a larger company such as Finisar for mass production. The NRE was a onetime payment for PTK to develop the VCSEL but that now looks like its completed with everything in line for production.

It now looks like PTK will going straight to market with the finished product and doing so will not require any joint venture with a larger player already in that market space, such as Finisar. In this scenario one can speculate that PTK will build the VSCEL directly for Apple/Facebook/Google data centers.

Is this our new direction or are we still waiting for some kind of NRE from a bigger company?
