Another Facebook dot. Listen to the VP of Infrastructure at Facebook, and current Chairman of the OCP. Starting at time 11:50, note the timeline he mentions that Facebook will be deploying 100G networks in one of its latest facilities. He also tells the audience that this will available to the wider market soon as well.

This exactly matches the timeline for the introduction of Poet's AOC and optical engine to the market in mass volumes.
Poet's transceiver whitepaper outlines the limitations of silicon photonics and current VCSEL technologies when 4x25Gb channels are put together for that 100G number, and states:
"Since the POET VCSEL is single mode, it is further expected that using the POET VCSEL with SMF will allow a data rate of 25Gbps per channel up to 500m. This solution would provide a very attractive single chip alternative to existing SiP approaches."
