I wanted to highllight 3 things about our VCSEL to be revealed.

The switch has binary optical states which ensures an essentially infinite extinction ratio

Our Vcsel isn't always on, we are saving power and lot of heat

The DOES is a digital device and has internal gain

Our VCSEL laser needs less power to be activated, again we are saving power to activate the laser. And guess what, it will require less power to emit/transmit because our detector are off-the-chart sensitive and efficient at converting light to electrical current.

That all conventional lasers require modulation around a bias current set point

This one, I need help from techies

FJ already pointed this at lenght but it is my opinion that the VCSEL metrics will probably required a new chart.
