I have to disagree.
45 nm and 40 nm are quite the same node.
Wavetek can do 45nm-350nm as per UMC earinings release (See table below), not 450 nm as you typed (probably a typo) :
Forget the 8'' inch wafer and more, what about proving that you can retrofit all those fabs that have 40-45 nm capacity and make them run once again= saving billions in new equipment and facilities.
