having said that, there appear to be perhaps four options, albeit one could identify that the third and fourth are simply the two temporal derivative elements of the one larger "do nothing" class.

hence,

• buy
• sell
• neither buy nor sell, after having bought (i.e., hold, or zero)
• neither buy nor sell, before having bought (i.e., ignore/wait, or null)
