May I just add a couple of salient points of note from my personal observations of today's news.
I was not sure what 'pure play' actually meant. The definition I dug out is as follows:
pure play
noun
'a company that focuses exclusively on a particular product or service in order to obtain a large market share.'
I was also intrigued by the word 'including' in the announcement. Including implies there are clearly other manufacturing requirements also being addressed. I wonder what they are?
Quote 1: 'The Agreement addresses all current manufacturing requirements (including Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Lasers (VCSELs)) in POET’s ongoing commercialization initiative.'

Also interesting in Wavetech President's statement is the term 'Rapid Expansion'. Here CG Shih is surely quoting the requirement that was put to him by PTI in their negotiation. My reaction to that is that you would not include that as a requirement unless your were pretty certain that large volume of orders for certain products were in the pipe line.
Quote 2: Wavetek President C.G. Shih. “Wavetek is excited to provide the high-volume manufacturing capabilities POET needs to spark a rapid expansion of opto-electronics applications such as those enabled by the POET platform.”

This is a very positive Proof Point that we were promised on 30 Sep 15 by our CEO at the CC which demonstrates the rapid progress being made. There can be no greater proof that management is demonstrating their capacity to fix deals, a prerequisite for success that eliminates the risk of management's capacity to deal effectively within their market. This demonstrates the respect that our management is being given .
The guilding of this particular lilly will be revenue and one cannot help but think that that is not too far off.
Truly excellent news
