I do see an unchange roadmap of the POET lab to fab project. VCSELS are just one market for POET.

Next to their run on the optical transceiver there is a lot of potential left.

So I guess we can see a close cooperation of POET and 26 (including NRE and licensing!) on the horizon (no, not a merger, please. We are not in hurry!). POET will take the blue ocean route for their networking products, with the help of 26. The rest of the potential of VCSELS will be shared or licensed to 26 (eating lunch of...). Big theatre with great actors and a genious art director in the background.

One question here is open for me: How does Mr. Warrior and his Alfalight fit in this picture? 26 is engaged in military applications...
