'what I do think about this board fabricating excuses when the timeline doesn't play out as promised...'

We the board stand accused of 'fabricating excuses'. A more rational endictement to my mind JTB would be to accuse the board of being too reasonable.

Your approach gives no wriggle room to management to execute their plans within the confines of business realities. News releases or Conference Calls require a significant degree of communication between the principles involved, who themselves have other agendas, quality control to check off the content and an approval sign off process of possibly several iteration to achieve a final version. External bodies may also be involved, which adds complexity to the process. Whilst some preeparation would have been done prior to the holidays, none of this can be whipped up and run off in an afternoon.

By not accepting that the time all this necessary action takes in the context of gearing up after a substantial holiday break or a changing business environment I feel you are exposing a degree of impetuousnous beyond reasonable behaviour.

Each one of us that constitute this board feel the same desire for news at the earliest opportunity as you but can rationalise the difficulties involved in promulgating the business process. This is not fabricating excuses, it is the tolerant realisation of the difficulties management has to face in the process of executing their duties.

Whilst you have the freedom to express your intolerance you are also free from the burden of undertaking any responsibilities of management. You appear to have no experience of the processes involved. Consequently your opinion fails to offer the weight of wisdom that others here may have, therefore to generaly accuse the board of the fabrication of excuses appears to deny other board their opinion. Effectively, you are demanding to be right regardless of the fact that others are more qualified to comment.

Your resignation from the board deprives us of the deeper insight you claim. A totally unnecessary action in the light of the freedom this board allows within its six rules. Yes you can be appreciated for having an opinion but not for demanding that your opinion be right.or that it is the only one of value.
