Mazan4: … this story took too long.

I wouldn't say too long, but definitely longer than initially expected, due to moving targets. Now we are aiming at a different angle, and higher.

That's why it is taking longer. And since it takes longer, Pinetree got into financial distress. And since Pinetree got into distress, they had to sell hard. And since they had to sell hard, the share price is where it is.

Nobody is happy with the share price, but at least the situation we are in has good explanations that have nothing to do with any detrimental fundamental reasons. If fact, POET Technologies as a company is in a much, much better position today than at the end of 2014.

The story is not only long, but also complicated. And we are pre-revenue. Reasons people are either not buying or even selling POET Technologies:

  1. Never heard about it
  2. Oh, it's pre-revenue → don't looking any further and definitely not buying
  3. Story too long → not buying or even selling due to IFS (investor fatigue syndrome)
  4. Story too complicated not buying
  5. "I need the money!" → selling
  6. Limited understanding of the implications of the technology → limited buying

Not many remaining buyers, right?

I believe item 2 is the major limiting factor. When that changes, it will be the turning point, and item 1 will follow soon. When that happens, 3 won't matter anymore, and 4 – 6 will become less relevant if not irrelevant.

According to the company's roadmap, this could well happen in 2016 – or whatever "soon" means. ;-)
