read that full SVBjournal linked article from this afternoon, with special attention on what Blau ("prototyping") and Freeman ("product development") are saying.

it doesn't hurt that Cisco is across the road, basically spitting distance up Tasman Dr., either -- after all, it's not like Mrs. Mohan's friends at that company tend to use a few optical transcievers once in a while.

then pull up this listing from the real-estate brokerage, to get more ... err ... "granular" detail on the Maxim X3 plant & equipment they just bought.

maybe it also comes with a certain sought-after 30-40 engineers? according to the real-estate folks, it might, since it includes "the opportunity to leverage an experienced and highly skilled engineering team."

not to put too fine a point on it, but any egghead would be pretty darned comfortable moving proprietary processes out of the old Storrs lab, if he knew this was waiting.

in other words ...

Hello, Pedal?

Meet Metal.
