I'd say the airlines run a close second.

The fees now imposed on the average traveller for everything from security to baggage are outrageous.

I used to travel in 1999 for $5 from Halifax to Toronto, on a pass (I work for the airlines).

Today, same pass, $66.

For paying passengers, the actual ticket prices have been relatively stagnant, but the fees and taxes have gone through the roof. Remember when they used to bring you a sandwich instead of having to buy one?

Corporations believe in ignorance is strength because the ignorant masses never speak up, they just bend over and take it.
