Mackwheaton: I do like this ""We're in the process of accelerating this transition today and will have detectors and VCSELs built using Anadigics' commercial manufacturing process by the first quarter of 2016," he asserts." Isn't that a move up from what was previously stated?
Well, no. The roadmap as laid out in the conference call on 2015-09-30 said technology transfer until Q4/2015, first VCSEL and FET (and detector) results in Q1/2016. This is exactly the same as what Venkatesan is saying in the CS article.
Having manufactured those components in isolation will be followed by integrating them into a VCSEL transceiver (not "transistor", as the CS author wrote). According to the roadmap, the integrated transceiver is planned for Q2/2016.
So we don't have any acceleration, but we also don't have any delay. Looks good.
