There are plenty of manufacturers of GaAs chips. They are used extensively across the industry, and have been for years. It's not about POET using GaAs before anybody else. It's not necessarily the GaAs that is key, it's what G Taylor has been able to do with it that is revolutionary. One such thing is complementary logic, never done before with GaAs until poet came along.
By the Intel moves away from Silicon it will be far to late. They will have missed another boat, just like the mobile markets. I think you need to do some basic readin around what Ptk have done.
