2 things stick out
1) 6 inch wafers (economic and volume ramp up capablity). The 3 inch was a concern in the past so POET has been able to quickly move to the 6 inch with this contract
2) prototypes for real customers. They wouldn't be signing a contract with A without customers lined up and the BOD wouldn't aprove unless their was a buisiness case for revenue and profitability
This appears to be a mutually beneficial agreement in that the new 6 inch wafer production helps A as well as looks like POET was in the right place at the right time to possibly select the best option at the lowest cost with manageable risks
Hopefully we will get some additional NR and more info with the September show and tell business plan release.
