Hi, first time poster but PTK holder since 3/2014. Been reading daily and amazed at the technological understanding and DD of the leaders that makes all the information easier to digest. I thank you.
I agree, with the new management team (all connected to each other and their previous well-respected semi conductor related companies), Apple connection, and the recent MD&A, it is favorable, and that we can certainly deduce something is going on in the background and moving forward (the mentioning of MoU, new section on hiring on the website etc. This is all NEW since management took over) Dr. Suresh V is young. He left a prestigious position at a global company to come to a no-name company. Why? All just to have a title that sounds better than his previous one? No. This is his bet to leave behind a legacy and to put his name in history, which I am sure he is going to put his full effort behind it.
Something is going to happen with this company. That, I think, is a certainity what everyone on this forum that has actually been doing their DD have concluded. It's only a matter of time, whether September, or next year or whenever they are ready, but all things point to significant news (maybe not earnings, but announcement of partnerships etc. to get the public on board)
I've been only holding for 1.5 years and also not much at stake, but the state of the things here is starting to look like a bunch of people panicking and demanding answers and reassurances, and the long time hub leaders basically calming people down, whenever the SP drops.
We are retail shareholders. In reality, they don't owe us anything even though we technically own a miniscule percentage of the company and that is just reality. After reading Holk and some more even minded posts, I have to promote the notion that you should only invest an amount that you don't mind losing. If you believe POET is going to work out, like many of us here, then that's awesome. Hold on and don't sell. You haven't lost anything if you haven't sold. This is one of the best and most promising venture stock out there, but remains a relatively volatile bet (compare to say, an index fund/broad market ETF), but one with a great rewards/risk ratio.
If you're not a believer, then sell. No one's stopping you. I view this board as a forum for information and knowledge for people that believe. Yes we have doubts and questions for that is and should be allowed, but please have some well thought logic behind them. The calls for answers and whines won't get you anywhere unless its just to vent. However, daily venting and shouting on this board is starting to get old.
Just realized that this is becoming long, but just offering an opinion and a perspective. Sorry in advance that there are no new information from me. Rob, Rainer and the hub leaders are too fast and thorough.
