Brightech, especially coming from me, this will sound flip, but, the answer is...because of overselling! Pinetree is being controlled by creditors who as far as I know, don't have any upside - best they can do is get their principal back, so under those circumstances, I can see sale after sale without worrying much about the price.
Thus, a huge shareholder, under duress, is selling more than another similarly sized shareholder who is not under duress would be selling (which may be nothing at all, or they might even be accumulating). And when there is no positive news to offset that proportionately large selling, well...
By the way, I sure like today's pattern of price action, which is similar to what it was a couple of weeks ago when we were doing pretty good. Jump in morning, down midday and then a nice close.
