Does Share Price Matter

The fluctuations of the Share Price are for me simply a product of being a Venture Capital share. Anyone investing in Venture Capital must accept that they are in for a rocky ride. The message as a sailorbeing akin to; if you get seasick don't go out on small boats in big seas.
Be assured that the POET share price does not reflect the underlying value of the fundemental technology that we have invested in or its enormous potential.
My observation over the years is that there is a persistant and regular cycle of attacks on our share price, This cycle is obvious for all to see without the use of Chart POV style specialist tools of the trade. Venture shares go up and down and ours seems particulalry vunerable to the attacks that are instigated by those who wish to make money from such fluctuations so it happens time and time again.
These attacks occur when there is percived weakness, as in the panicky reaction to lack of news that we are currently enduring. A crumb of comfort is that the attackers will at some point equally want the Share Price to rise to make their profits, whether paperprofits or otherwise or indeed the accumulation of shares at lower prices. Thus gree is the motives for the games we see and so be it, as much as I hate the games myself, I cannot deny that we are all in this for profit. Therefore its churlish to attack those who play the games we are all tarred with the shame of profit.
We all know that the price is only relevant if you have to sell or wish to play trading games. What is certain is that once the share price builds up that an attack will begin at some point, particulalry if there is any sign of weakness that will affect individuals' perception to sell in fear.
What we all love is the sense of comfort we feel when the Share Price puts our holdings into profit. This for me is the only reason I can persuade my Mehmsahib that POET is a wonderful opportunity, as for me it remainsmy best inventment even at these low prices and is a substancial winner inmy investment plans.
As I don't play the games I like to feel virtuous about POET in that it excites me to think that I am playing a part in what might be one of the gratest Technological stories in the history of the development of Integrated Circuits.
So to answer my own question in spite of the attacks and drop in share price I defy anyone to point to an actual event or evidence that the technological advance POET represents is moving forward and that despite dissapointments, which usually amount to my over inflated expectations on timings and news, that there is an underlying air of confidence in our mangement which was observed at the AGM and reiterated by Peter Copetti's confidence in the newly appointed CEO and COO.
We have to give time to the new managment duo to get their feet under the table and bring the undoubted technical cabilities in the IC manufacturing business to bear on the complex process of manufacturing POET chips. Shortly, in August, we shall have a device manufactured by BAE in the lab to fab processs which will demonstrate the capability and functionality of POET, there appears to be less secrecy about this aim and lets face it BAE have done this already with the RF chip. That alone will have an enormous effect on confidence and presumably the Shar Price to put us all into the comfort zone of profit.
It is speculation but there has been enough winks and nudges from management for us to be realtively confident that deals are on the cards, the silence reinforces this for me on the basis that if something was not going to happen we would get a similarm feel from a less cofident management.
The future of POET share price is not one of hope in my view it is the natural product of an exceptional technological invention and the talent of a capable management team built up by Adjit Monaach and Peter Copette to implement the technology as a thriving business. What we see is great technplogical potential and great management potential which has all the hall marks of success.
Yes share price does matter but not half as much as good management and amazing new technology that is about to arrive in a market desparate to resolve the road block to technological advncement that CMOS silicon now represents.
