DEFTRONICS 2015 to Focus on ‘Make in India’ in Aerospace, Defence and Internal Security
DEFTRONICS-2015-to-Focus-on-‘Make-in-India’-in-Aerospace,-Defence-and-Internal-SecurityDEFTRONICS 2015 hosted by India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA) will focus on ‘Make in India’ in aerospace, defence and internal security.
The second edition of DEFTRONICS will be held between between September 9 and 11, 2015, at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi and will have expo as well as conferences. DEFTRONICS 2015 is scheduled to take place along with electronica India and productronica India 2015, India’s leading trade fairs for the electronics industry.
The event will focus primarily on aspects like opportunities in design and R&D, IP creation, nurturing entrepreneurship in the aerospace, defence and internal security (ADIS) space in conjunction with policy and business related matters and issues. The forum will also lay emphasis on specific skillset development required for ADIS ecosystem to build India as the manufacturing destination for military-industrial complex across the globe.
DEFTRONICS 2015 will take a closer look at how the national theme of ‘Make in India’ can be coupled with global alliances to galvanize the country’s immense potential in strategic electronics. The event will bring together stalwarts from government, industry, academia and global leaders to identify ways to further accelerate ‘Make in India’ by building global partnerships.
The government will be represented by Ravi Shankar Prasad, minister for communications & IT, Government of India; Nirmala Sitharaman, minister of state for commerce and industry, Government of India; RS Sharma, secretary, DeitY; and Vijay Kumar Saraswat, former DG, DRDO and former chief scientific advisor to the minister of defence and currently member, NITI Aayog; and Ajit Manocha, co-chairman, POET Technologies.
