I have not had much time in the last few weeks to do the due diligence on the industry I like to do. I have files set up to follow intersting stories, and happenings in the industry as a whole. We have not heard much since May on the Samsung/AMD situation. I just had conversation about some unrelated business things with an industry veteran on the cabinet and hardware side, and as I broached the subject to him, he mentioned we should be watching for an update on that situation quite soon simply because timing is critical. Time is an enemy in this business and big deals tend to consume time.

Now consolidation seems to be the theme of the year among the big stars. I find it fascinating that even though for the most part year over year growth projections still read positive on a global scale for electronics and semiconductors as well. That this flurry of, and to consolidate, is happening.

So is or does consolidation trickle down effect being what we look for ? Or mushroom cloud effect ? or even virtually no effect on POETS story in the making ?
