Alfalight and Compound Photonics

This may or may not be interesting. As mentioned earlier by Abel, Alfalight Semiconductor fab spun-out to Compound Photonics; established strategic supplier partnership – Mar 2013.

Looking at Compound Photonics "We are making Europe’s largest Gallium Arsenide semiconductor fab, available for foundry services. Our 50,000 square foot fab with technically advanced semiconductor pHEMT processes is optimized for fast processing and high volume throughput of GaAs pHEMTs"

This was news from October 2013, so don't get too excited and not necessarily meaning that POET is at all related, but the link to the GaAs fab is interesting. Who knows, as always time will tell.
