Kevin Barnes POET CFO sitting beside Jim Balsillie at the EC Cevent and Ajit Manocha sitting beside Eric Schmidt - former CEO of Google at an earlier ECC event was probably arranged by Mike White of IBK Capital since Bill White is a director of the Empire Club of Canada and IBK has sponsored many of Luncheon/Speaker presentations at the ECC.

I believe POET's presence was just face time with these past CEO's of behemoth companies. Google and RIM.
