Interesting thought and I'll add this:

Thru its own network, PTI brings Company B (a "friendly to PTI) to the table knowing that Company A needs the cash, sort of a broker situation. As a result, PTI gains another supportive shareholder, while Company A is further diluted by virtue of its own circumstances.
