First time poster with an opinion. You say in your last paragraph, " Do they see a sure thing, though, I doubt that, but they like the odds." I dsagree. I believe Dr Deshmuk sees a sure thing and would not leave a company like AMAT if he wasn't sure. Why do it if he wasn't? Would you? I am in Senior management at a mid-sized firm who has been in business for over 50 years and I have been offered many positions at other major firms, but would never leave unless the money was staggering or the offer came for something that I could build a legacy on. My opinion is that all these new men coming on board or in an advisory capacity, want to be there because they see an opportunity. They don't have any doubt at all.
