In future years there will be several forward splits. Companies on the very cusp of greatness like Poet is, will have people calling for these splits just to make entering a position more attainable. We will need them too.

Have noticed splits being stated incorrectly many times over the months.

The correct format when referring to splits is as follows:

Reverse Splits 1:3 (for example) means you will receive 1 share for 3 shares.

Forward Splits 3:1 (for example) means you will receive 3 shares for 1 share.

A contraction of shares (reverse) leads with the smaller number.

An expansion of shares (forward) leads with the larger number.
