With all due respect, the Segway was much easier to make a big fuss about among the easily amused, and perfect for the New Yorker to satire. Just how do you propose to encapsulate what POET offers into the kind of sound bites and imagery that our banal, celebrity-crazed popular culture can possibly digest? Can you incorporate a baby, or a cat or a funny pratfall into this public relation? beer and boobs?

Not so easy, is it?

This is only going to hit the public AFTER THE FACT of its incorporation into the devices it will revolutionize. And even then, it will be geeks-only. The marketers won't mention POET (unless POET makes sure they do via an "POET Inside" co-branding relationship).

I think we're better off trying to promote the investment potential of the company first.
