Assuming that this hardware problem is not a stalking horse to postpone results for strategic reasons:
To me one thing is very clear: Poet produced 100 and 40 nm structures in the past, without this new tool. This meas they had and still have another sputtering tool, which had to be updated/replaced by the new tool. The new tool should work more precicely, or faster, therefore some work was delayed. But still I am very sure the UCONN team continued to work during this delay, also by using 3rd party installations.
So we really should not worry, POET is on track and functional.
