The issue is that people take these comments to heart and therefore can base or influence their investing on them when they likely don't fully understand the different marketplaces.

This is basically the human condition. Taking things to heart that are simply "out there" in the world. Remember the answer to the question in "Silence of the Lambs" - we want what we see. It cannot be helped. Nor can suppressing what is inside us to say because of what we think we see.
