На технологической конференции Morgan Stanley финансовый директор AMD Девиндер Кумар (Devinder Kumar) вполне однозначно заявил, что в 2014 году Globalfoundries одновременно обеспечивала выпуск трёх видов продукции для AMD: изделий для сегмента ПК, "заказных" микросхем и графических решений. То есть, эти самые графические решения к сегменту игровых консолей отношения не имеют. Впрочем, пока сложно идентифицировать, о каких именно графических решениях идёт речь. Исторически, выросшая из производственного подразделения AMD компания Globalfoundries довольствовалась правом выпускать центральные процессоры и их "гибридных" родственников. Теперь портфель заказов диверсифицируется, и AMD это позволяет в меньшей степени зависеть от TSMC.
