In downward economic times, stocks in staples like food, fuel and utilities tend to do very well.

I see Poet's chip technology feeding that other new world-wide basic need - better chips for devices to enable better communication and high density data traffic.

Once the overall efficiencies of Poet chips are revealed, everyone and their device will have to have it.....with the low hanging fruit (servers, frameworks) being easy pickings and the smart phone et al. type devices absolutely needing it for fear of being left behind. None of the OEMs will want the second-fastest, most expensive, largest, power-consuming, heat-generating chip on board.

Poet chips will be more like a basic commodity than an extra or luxury. To borrow an old line from American Express....
