Klompen, the good news is that chip designers don't have to change the way they design chips. They don't even necessarily see that what they designed will be implemented as a POET chip instead of a silicon chip. (This will be different for the novel POET devices like the optical thyristor etc., but that's another story.)

I hope this answers at least some of your questions.

20:06Stephane Gagnon: Easy industry adoption. For the designers, for example for a designer at an Apple, they can continue to design chips the same way that they designed them it in the past. They can continue writing code the same way they have done.

20:24 – Their toolchain is being enabled by our team right now working with Synopsys and their tools to enable those designers to just compile their code that they are writing today, targeting a new technology in the backend, but that’s all invisible to them.

20:42 – That’s very important. Sometimes companies come with a new technology, a new whizzbang technology, but everybody has to change the way they have been doing things for the last 20 years. That doesn’t work. So keep in mind that they don’t have to change the way they are designing chips.
