There sure is a mix of talent on this board. As far as talent for understanding the technological aspects of POET (and electronics in general), it appears as if we have some knowledgeable people, as well as lots of "glazed eyes" people (myself included). I started to review the information from the link from Rainer (Digital Logic Structures), which appears to be very basic (for this type of stuff), yet I found myself a bit lost (partially due to less effort than I could have committed). I also read FJ's post that started with "Just as a reminder" and found myself somewhat lost again, even though I have read that several times.
I have decided that it does not matter, I have enough "similar" type information in my head (being a chemist), and there are the people on this board that help explain much of the technology, in a way that we can understand, at least for the most part (e.g. that is good, right?). I think I will focus on the things that I understand, such as the potential market, partners, revenue, etc. Not to mention 10x is better than 1x (speed) or 10% is better than 100% (power requirements), etc. I "get that". I also am comfortable in that Dr. Taylor (and Management) clearly "gets it".
Perhaps even though not all of us have the talent for the technology, we can be satisfied that we had the smarts to invest in POET, that will hopefully be what matters in the end.
So, what am I saying? First, for those of you that have the talent for the technology, thanks for what you share for the rest of us. Also, this is a big part of issue with the current SP, which is, as mentioned before, that hardly anyone "gets it". However, once there are other developments (partners, revenue, etc.), then many others will "get it", and the SP will follow.
Nice day today, looking forward to many others - good luck!!
