There is a site called Stockchase which compiles comments from experts about stocks. There are a few analyst comments for POET, might be mainly from BNN, not sure, but recognize a few of them.

There is a comment from Jerome Hass (Feb 10), signal = Don't Buy, with comment "Semiconductor chip manufacturer. He is very leery about this company. One of the major shareholders is in the position where they are going to be forced to liquidate their position. As a consequence, he sees downward pressure in the short term".

What jumps out to me is he is listed as an expert. I speculate he is not an expert on POET.
